Units 11 - 14

Unit 11 introduces you to the AC sign wave.  A thorough understanding of the wave form is important to your understanding of how it interacts with components.  In this course, you will only be using passive (non-powered) components.

In Unit 12, you will explore the use and function of transformers.

Unit 13 introduces you to what happens when an ac sign wave is applied to a capacitor, resistor, and inductor.  It is not the same response as when a dc signal is applied.  But then what fun would it be, if it was?

Unit 14 poses the question - what happens when the XL = XC.  Very interesting things happen at the resonant frequency.
