Welcome to DC/AC I.  You are about to enter the most exciting field of study.  The field of electronics is ever changing and always expanding.  This course will introduce you to this field.  Whether you are taking DC/AC I as a stand alone course or are pursuing an Associate degree, I am confident that you will find this course very interesting.  And if you are not careful, you may even have fun taking it.

In order to start the course off on the right foot, we suggest that you complete the following tasks;

• Visit the Welcome slide show.
   
• Visit the Learning Objects page listed above.  Learning Objects are short (5 minutes or less) Flash presentations.  If you don't have Macromedia player, a link to their site is provided and the down load is free.
   
• Down load the syllabus for this course at  http://cws.gtc.edu/faculty/hoppep/syllibi1.htm
   
• Read the entire "Electronics" section of this Self-Paced web site.  A firm understanding in how the hybrid self-paced courses work is critical to your success.
