Unit 0, Notes
While in class you will be performing many different lab experiments.
It is important that you learn the names of the different pieces of equipment
that you will be learning to use.
Resistor Pack
The resistor packs are located in the grey cabinets, on the east side of the
room.
Digital Multimeter
The Digital Multimeters are located in the grey cabinets, on the east side of
the room.
Test Leads
The test leads are located on the back wall of the classroom.
Powered Bread Board
The Powered Bread Boards are located on the grey shelving unit, in the front of
the classroom. These bread boards have a fixed +5V supply, a 0 to
+15 V variable supply, and a 0 to -15 V variable supply.
Digitrainer
The Digitrainers are located on the grey shelving unit, in the front of the
classroom.
Solderless Bread Board
These boards are useful in assembly of your lab projects. The boards are located in the grey cabinets, on the east side of
the room.
Function Generator
The function generator is used to produce different waveforms. Please ask
your instructor for a demonstration.
AC Power Supply
These supplies are located at each lab station.
Oscilloscope
The scopes are located at each station. Please read "The
XYZ's of Oscilloscopes", then ask your instructor to demonstrate the
operation of the oscilloscope.
