Electronics Department:
Hands-On Labs

At Gateway Technical College, we believe in a very "hands-on" style of learning.  The material covered during of electronics lectures is immediately reinforced through laboratory experiments.  Students build and experiment with the circuits studied, starting in the first week of class.
The laboratory experiments were designed by our own faculty, to best fit the material being covered.  The printing of the lab manuals "in-house" also greatly reduces the cost to the student.

The equipment utilized in our labs are reviewed every six months by our Industrial Advisory committee.  The Industrial Advisory committee is comprised of Senior technicians and Engineers from our local industries.  Among the many functions they provide our electronics programs, they ensure the test equipment we use in our labs is what our graduates will be using in industry.  When a student graduates from either the Electronic Technician program or the Electrical Engineering Technology program, they are "job ready" and will hit the ground running.
