Applied Engineering Technology: Registration In general, all the self-paced courses are available every Fall and Spring semester. The courses are listed in the Gateway Class Schedule which provides information on the registration process. A student may register for more than one course. An orientation is required when a student registers for a course. The schedule indicates the time and place for this orientation.
Attendance The time required to complete a course varies based on the listed credits and the individual student’s background. As a rule of thumb, the student might expect to invest 50 hours to complete a 1 credit course. Attendance at the Lab is at the discretion of the student. The student chooses the days of the week and the times to attend the Lab based on his personal schedule. The amount of time spent at the Lab is determined by the student, based on his personal needs. Some activities can only be completed in the lab. Students are asked to sign-in when they attend the lab.
Course Completion The student must complete the course within one semester's time - 16 weeks.
Grading The Checkpoint and Assessment at the end of each Learning Plan are graded. The Checkpoint counts 10% and the Assessment 90%. The course grade is the total of the grades. There are no mid-term or final examinations. |
