SkillsUSA Robotics Competition

Robotics teams will compete in two events:  a timed task course and a sumo wrestling event.  Please visit the rules page for a complete description of the event.

The parts for the robots can come from any vendor or can be fabricated.  This is a non-vendor specific robot.  For those schools wishing to purchase a kit, one can be ordered through Lynxmotion at a cost of approximately $520.00 per kit, if needed or from Vex Robotics at a cost of approximately $300 per kit..  The basic criteria for the bot are:

  • RC Controlled

  • Maximum Investment must be less than $650/team

  • Receipts are required for all items, including donations

  • Maximum Size:  12" W x 18" L

  • Weight limit - 10 lbs
