		Printers An inexpensive ink jet color printer will serve most students need. Purchase a printer that takes 11 by 17 inch paper if you have some extra money to spend. Another good option would be a black and white laser printer, and that has the added advantage of printing more quickly, and can be used for some professional applications. We do have good color and black and white laser printers in our labs, so many studentys find they can survive without a printer innitially. Scanners and cameras There are many low cost options for scanners and digital cameras that will meet the needs of a student very well. Look for a scanner that comes with a free version of Adobe Photoshop! Clip Art The use of Clip Art in most of my classes is discouraged, since we are learning to use the drawing software and encourage you to create your own art. However students may find it useful to own a package or two of tasteful Clip Art or Stock Photo CDs.
