Who Am I?

Hello!  I am a native Hoosier, born and raised in Indiana.  It wasn't until I moved to Wisconsin that I learned about "bubblers", "cheese heads", and "stop and go lights".  (Hoosiers call those things "water fountains, natives of Wisconsin, and stop lights!)

I have taught high school English in public schools in Indiana, and English and Reading at both two and four year colleges in Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin.  At Gateway Technical College I teach Adult High School English and Reading courses, and Pre-College Reading.  In addition, I have also been involved in teaching Adult Basic Education and G.E.D. skills.

In my traditional classroom settings I incorporate using computers and the Internet as teaching tools.  I firmly believe that the Internet is an excellent way to deliver instruction.

My hobbies include reading (several magazines and a book every week or two), watching basketball (yes, I follow the Pacers), gardening, and attending concerts and plays.  I love to travel, but don't do nearly enough of it!
