Hi. I'm Rick Barribeau, instructor in the Communications and Professional Communications programs at Gateway Technical College. I have been teaching at Gateway since fall 2001. My undergraduate studies included courses in education, literature, and writing. My graduate studies included courses in technical communications, literature, and literary theory. Since graduation, I have taken a number of classes related to computers and programming.
I am married and have three children. My wife Amy and I are originally from Appleton, Wisconsin. My son Mason is about thirteen years old. My son Spencer is about ten years old. My daughter Ella is about seven years old.
Before teaching at Gateway, I was a senior technical writer at Rational Software in Brookfield. I developed online help and manuals for the Rational Rose software tool. I also worked as a senior technical writer for Rockwell Automation in Mequon and as a technical writer at Docu-Net in Brookfield.
