Gateway's Philosophy Statement for Online Learning - Gateway Technical College believes that learning should take place beyond its walls through the innovative application of technology. Gateway’s online offerings are designed primarily to serve our local community’s need for convenient, flexible learning opportunities. The college does not aim to serve a worldwide audience or to offer every course and program online. Quality, not quantity, is our standard for online excellence. In support of this standard, Gateway believes that online learners must be welcomed into the Gateway community in every way possible and must receive the same level of student support services as our onsite students. Finally, Gateway’s academic direction must drive our technology planning and budgeting to maintain a level of infrastructure and technical support that enables growth. |
