Online Courses
Blackboard is a Learning Management System that can be used in both online as well as traditional face-to-face courses. Gateway Instructors use Blackboard to post course content that is accessible via the internet. Blackboard includes tools such as discussion boards, chat, document exchange, etc. With Blackboard and Gateway's online classes, you can learn on your schedule.
Instructional Television
Interactive Television (ITV) courses allow you to participate with classmates and your instructor at a distance. You will attend class at a nearby campus and interact with your classmates and instructor over a two-way television network that includes audio. Multiple sites can be linked in this way, offering flexible alternatives for students.
IP Video Courses
Gateway offers some of its courses over IP (Internet Protocol) video. This state-of-the-art technology enables live video and audio between multiple sites using the internet itself.
Telecourses and Video Courses
Gateway offers video-based courses ranging from Selling Principles to Medical Terminology. Created by some of the leading producers of educational video in the country, the courses are augmented and customized by Gateway instructors. You can check out individual course tapes from a campus library or rent the entire video library for the course from a campus bookstore for a nominal fee.
