The assignment feature lets you submit work directly to your instructor using Blackboard. If your instructor uses the assignment feature, you may not have to use e-mail at all. Blackboard allows you to submit your assignment and attach completed assignment files directly within Blackboard. Your instructor may still want you to e-mail him/her about the assignment, but check with the instructor for specific directions and requirements.
Step by Step
Log in to Blackboard and enter your course.
Locate an assignment you need to complete. Your instructor may place them wherever he/she chooses in the course. When you find an assignment, you’ll see the clipboard image and an option to “View/Complete” that assignment. See image below:
Click on the “View/Complete” link.
If the Instructor has placed a file on Blackboard for you to download, click the file link next to the “Assignment Files” option.
Click the “Browse” button to attach and upload your completed assignment file to your instructor. You may type a brief comment in the "Comments" area, but there is a limit on how much you can type so comments should be brief.
Click “Submit” when you are ready to turn in your assignment to your Instructor. Note: Clicking “Save” will not submit the assignment. Your Instructor will not see the assignment until you have clicked “Submit.”
