How to Control your Pop-Up Blocker in Internet Explorer:

If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser and are having trouble with your Pop-Up Blocker blocking PowerPoint presentations or other necessary documents, this demonstration will show you how you can add a specific website to your Pop-Up Blocker Settings to allow that site to be unfiltered.

You can also turn off your Pop-Up Blocker completely. But remember, you will see all pop-up ads again until you turn of the blocker back on.

Adding Websites to your Unfiltered List

• Click on the “Tools” menu option at the top of the screen
• Scroll down to Pop-Up Blocker and select Pop-Up Blocker Settings. This is the area that you will type in the site you do not wish to have blocked.
• Type in the name of a site and click “add.” Repeat this for additional sites.
• Sites that we recommend you add to this area include:
• blackboard.gtc.edu
• cws.gtc.edu
• www.blackboard.com

Turning Off Pop-Up Blocker in Internet Explorer

• If you wish to completely turn off your Pop-Up Blocker, again click on the “Tools” menu at the top of the screen
• Scroll down to Pop-Up Blocker and click “Turn off Pop-Up Blocker.”
