Are you ready for Distance Learning?  Find out by completing the READI assessment.  It will take you about 20 to 30 minutes from start to finish but you may log out and complete it later if necessary.  After you log into READI, you will receive an email from READI with a READI PIN number that will allow you to log back in later or view your results again.

Your READI score will not prevent you from registering for online classes.  It is a tool that will help you assess your strengths and weaknesses related to distance learning in 5 areas.

  1. Individual Attributes - procrastination, time management, willingness to ask for help, academic attributes
  2. Learning Styles - what is your predominant learning style?
  3. Technical Competency, Skills, and Knowledge
  4. On-Screen Reading Rate and Comprehension
  5. Typing Speed and Accuracy

You will receive a full color report immediately following the completion of all areas of READI.  It will also provide some remedial tools to help you strengthen your weaknesses.

When logging into READI, please choose the appropriate Username. For example:

Technical Diploma Students please log into READI by choosing Diploma from the pull-down menu located inside of the Username box. GTC is the password.

Associate Degree Students please log into READI by choosing Degree from the pull-down menu located inside of the Username box. GTC is the password.

New students or students who have not declared a major please log into READI by choosing Undeclared from the pull-down menu located inside of the Username box. GTC is the password.

High School students please log into READI by choosing High School from the pull-down menu located inside of the Username box. The password is highschool (one word small case).
